The Crust
The Crust is the first and thinnest layer of the earth. Under the continent it is about 60 km thick, but under the ocean it is only about 5 km thick. The Crust is made of basalt and granite type rock, which makes it hard and solid. The crust also makes up part of the lithosphere. The Crust's
approximate temperature would be 0° C.
